The Conference will feature three special events and all delegates are encouraged to attend.  Bookings must be made prior to the commencement of Conference by Friday 17 July.

Gourmet BBQ  Monday 27 July, 7pm--10pm

Take the opportunity to catch up with fellow delegates and partners over a casual meal prior to the main conference commencing.  Enjoy a gourmet BBQ in the Southee Complex at Sydney Showground.  BBQ & Soft Drinks provided FREE.  Alcohol available on a cash bar basis.

Regional Food Fair  Tuesday 28 July, 6pm--9pm

The Regional Food Fair returns in 2009 and will once again be the official welcome function for the Conference.  You will have the opportunity to experience 12 unique and innovative dishes, prepared using produce sourced from the Member base, sample wines from NSW vineyards and see just how the delicious meals are prepared at the live chef station.

This event should simply not be missed and to encourage as many delegates and partners as possible to attend, the Board of the Association is pleased to offer tickets to all Members at the discounted price of $65 per person.  A limited number of tickets will be available for this year’s event (430), so you must book your tickets prior to getting to the Annual Conference, as once sold out there will be no more tickets available.

The Awards Dinner is a celebration of rural achievement with the announcement of the Farmer & Young Farmer of the Year in conjunction with DPI.   The evening’s menu will be designed by Sydney Showgrounds Executive Chef and is sure to please.  The band from Parkes who featured in 2007 will return again to get you up and on the dance floor – Chester Drawers & the Low Boys. 

Note: The Mackellar Media Award winners will not be announced at this year’s dinner event, but will be announced at the October Executive Council meeting.

Lyn Laurie, the president’s wife, would once again like to extend a very warm invitation to all Annual Conference partners and friends to attend the Partners Program for 2009! After the positive feedback received from all who attended in 2008, the 2009 program has been extended to 3 days and will once again include the latest hit musical and a unique food experience. Activities have a maximum number of places, so to confirm your attendance, please complete the special event booking form.
